AFLRATINGS NEWS: There is clarity on the role for Izak Rankine in the 2024 AFL season at Adelaide. Â
He is set to play a mix of forward and midfield at the Crows.
Speaking this week (via SEN) Rory Laird provided insight into the midfield aspect of Rankine’s role.Â
He said that Rankine would play that high half-forward role and make his way up to stoppages.Â

Laird also added that Rankine would be unlikely to feature heavily at centre bounces but rather pinch-hit.
He went on further to say that a Rankine rotation with Luke Pedlar, Josh Rachele and Jake Soligo would be the likely scenario.
Rankine averaged 15.9 disposals, 3.7 marks, 3.2 tackles and 1.8 goals from 20 games in 2023.
