An assessment will be made on his availability prior to the opening round of the season.
“Sam experienced back soreness after completing match simulation last Monday. After further assessment it has been decided to reduce his training loads,”

Walsh averaged 28.6 disposals, 3.5 marks, 4.8 tackles and 0.3 goals from 18 games last season.
