Gold Coast senior coach Damien Hardwick confirmed a lower leg issue for Rioli following the game.

Rioli is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a small fracture in his fibula (via Tom Morris).

“Scans on Monday shows that Daniel has sustained a small fracture to his fibula.”

“After discussing the results with Daniel, a decision was made that he will undergo an operation which will make him unavailable for selection for several weeks,” Gold Coast Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull.

Gold Coast will likely provide updates during his rehabilitation period.
