Melbourne confirmed a foot injury throughout the game.
Jiath has undergone further assessment to determine the severity of the concern, scans have revealed a rupture to his plantaris tendon and he will be a test for Round 20.
“Scans have cleared him of any damage to his Achilles or calf, but they did confirm a rupture to his plantaris tendon.”
“Fortunately, it’s something we have seen before. We’ll see how he pulls up, with his level of integration into training this week determining his availability.” Melbourne AFL High Performance Manager Selwyn Griffith.
Melbourne will likely provide an update in the upcoming period.
