Collingwood midfielder Scott Pendlebury was assessed for a hamstring concern on Friday night against Brisbane at the MCG.

Pendlebury came from the ground in Q2 and did not return the game.

Collingwood confirmed a leg issue throughout the game.

Pendlebury has undergone further assessment to determine the severity of the injury, he has been diagnosed with a hamstring strain.

He is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.

“Scott Pendlebury sustained a hamstring injury in last Friday’s game against the Brisbane Lions.”

“He has commenced a running program and is expected to be available for selection in two to three weeks.” Collingwood Head of High Performance Jarrod Wade.

Collingwood will likely provide updates during his rehabilitation period.

Pendlebury averaged 23.4 disposals, 4.6 marks and 2.7 tackles prior to Round 24 (AF PPM: 1.17).

Collingwood next play Western Bulldogs on Friday night August 28 at the MCG.
