Luke Pedlar | Port Adelaide

Luke Pedlar says he’s happy that he made the move for his AFL career joining Port Adelaide during the recent trade period.

Speaking on Thursday (via SEN) Pedlar says he made the decision to move clubs late in the 2026 season following a meeting that included Port Adelaide senior coach Josh Carr.

Pedlar added that he is hopeful on training and playing more in the midfield that will compliment his impact game across half-forward at the Power.

Injuries have heavily impacted the start of Pedlar’s AFL career playing only 49 games mostly as a pressure half forward.

Pedlar says he has done a lot of work to prepare his body for the remainder of his career which included completing 90% of pre-season in his final year at the Crows.

Luke Pedlar was selected at pick 11 in the 2020 AFL Draft by Adelaide.

AFLRATINGS Fantasy Impact: A clear pre-season from Luke Pedlar should provide opportunities to play some minutes as an inside mid at Port Adelaide in 2027, an exact fwd/mid split is yet to be established.

Pedlar averaged 9.5 disposals, 2.9 marks, 2.1 tackles and 0.8 goals from 10 games in 2026 at Adelaide (AF Ave: 47.3).
