Fremantle midfielder Blake Acres won’t play in Round 3, he has a minor calf strain.

Acres has returned to training this week, he won’t be considered for selection by the Dockers this week.

“Blake took a cork into that session (on Friday)…a calf cork from a session on the Monday back in Perth,”

“That just complicated him a little bit. He’s got a small strain. He’s up and running this morning but he’ll miss this week.”

“We look forward to having him available next week.” Dockers High Performance Manager Jason Weber.

Acres played 19 games for the Saints last season, he averaged 16.2 Disposals & 3.7 Marks.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Acres was a stand out in the opening match of the Marsh Community Series game for Fremantle earlier this year, he recorded 31 Disposals & 5 Marks for 104pts.

Acres is set for a role on the wing in 2020, he averaged 67.5pts from 19 games at St Kilda last season.

Acres has had some injury concerns this season, he should only be considered once fully fit.
