Fremantle ruck Sean Darcy has been cleared of PCL or ACL damage to his left knee, the injury occurred in the 3rd Qtr against Brisbane in Round 2.

Darcy will be sidelined at least for the short term, he is expected to return to training shortly thereafter.

“Sean had scans on his injured knee today, with the initial report indicating that there was no damage to either his PCL or ACL,”

“There is some soft tissue damage to the back of the knee, which will require treatment, but Sean is doing well and we expect him to be able to train relatively soon.” Dockers GM of Football Peter Bell.

Darcy averaged 11.1 Disposals, 1.8 Marks & 17.5 Hit Outs from 11 games in 2019.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

The injury to Darcy will likely result in Rory Lobb moving into the No.1 Ruck role for the short term, Jesse Hogan & Sam Sturt are on the horizon to move into a key forward role to cover Lobb.

Darcy isn’t considered an option in season long fantasy.
