Injury Update: Matt Crouch

Adelaide midfielder Matt Crouch is set to undergo a hip arthroscopy, the surgery will occur over the next week.

Crouch is likely to begin running at 4 weeks post surgery, he is expected to be available for the start of 2021 pre-season.

“Matt has had some low-level impingement problems from his right hip and will have a minor procedure to deal with those issues.”

“He’s likely to run within 4 weeks of the surgery and will be right for the start of pre-season.” Crows Head of Science & Medicine Steve Saunders.

Crouch averaged 26.1 Disposals, 2.8 Marks & 4.6 Tackles in 2020.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Matt Crouch averaged 88.4pts from 16 games in 2020, after averaging 64.3pts from his opening 3 games he averaged 93.9pts from his final 13 games. 

Under first year Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks significant change through the midfield impacted several players, Crouch did see an increase in centre bounce usage at the back end of the H&A season. 

Crouch will come with a high price tag to begin the 2021 season.
