Opposing midfielders aren’t generally targeted in the Richmond game style under senior coach Damien Hardwick, expect Laird to find plenty of ball on the outside to go along with his strong centre bounce usage.

He has played primarily as a midfielder this season, although he did revert back to defence to cover for injuries for a period this season. He is expected to see strong midfield usage against Carlton on Sunday.

It was a slow day for Lachie Jones last week in his return from injury, he scored just 43pts & is averaging 49.7pts from 3 games in 2021.

He’ll likely spend the majority of his time across half-back, he should be in a decent position to exceed value.
