2021 Fantasy: Round 15 Top 5 Trade Targets Under $300K

Round 15 of the 2021 H&A season began on Thursday night, @aflratingsPete ranks the Top 5 Trade Targets Under $300K in AFL Fantasy classic.

The following list is a balanced opinion of which players to target, the comments are important to acknowledge; ability, playing role, job security, cash generation & potential scoring output have an influence on the rank.

1. Joel Amartey (Sydney) RUCK/FWD $261K BE -29

Amartey has been very solid for the Swans since coming into the team in Round 12, he has averaged 83.0pts playing as a key lead-up forward & providing back-up ruck cover. Based on his scoring ability & his extremely good BE (Break Even) the ROI in the short term should be quite decent. A must consider if not already owned.

Season Ave: 83.0

2. Luke Edwards (West Coast) MID $241K BE -23

Edwards was outstanding in his last game against Richmond especially in the critical last Qtr, he has averaged 72.5pts from his 2 games at AFL level. With senior experience coming back into the team Edwards has retained his position in the team, with a very healthy BE a short term salary grab is on offer. Another solid performance should give Eagles senior coach Adam Simpson even more confidence rolling with Edwards beyond the short term.

Season Ave: 72.5

3. Jeremy Sharp (Gold Coast) MID $221K BE 32

Sharp has been a prolific ball winner at VFL level this year, he has averaged 25.2 Disposals, 7.0 Marks & 1.3 Tackles. He is ideally suited to a wing role, if he can settle into that role quickly a decent ROI is possible. The Suns are still developing a young list, that could provide an opportunity for Sharp in the remaining games of the season.

Season Ave: N/A

4. Jai Newcombe (Hawthorn) MID $236K BE 7

It was a sharp decline in fantasy output for Newcombe last week, having recorded 14 Tackles on his way to 87pts in Round 14 he regressed to just 27pts last week in Round 15. The midfield usage should still be strong for Newcombe, hopefully he can settle back in to his contested game style this week. The BE is still quite healthy, a decent output this week could still result in a decent short to medium term ROI.

Season Ave: N/A

5. Trent Bianco (COLL) MID/DEF $281K BE 10

It was a slow day for Bianco back in Round 13, he recorded just 7 Disposals, 2 Marks & 2 Tackles for 33pts. In his opening 2 games Bianco averaged 17.5 Disposals, 3.5 Marks & 3.5 Tackles (74.0pts). The BE is still healthy enough for Bianco, he should still provide a decent ROI & bench cover if required for at least the short term.

Season Ave: 60.3
