There has been an update on the 2022 role for Justin McInerney, a role more focused across half-back is a possibility.
Sydney co-captain Callum Mills provided a brief update on the role for McInerney this week on SEN.
“He’s using his speed this year and could be a bit more of the half-back which will be exciting for a lot of fans I think.” Mills said.

2022 Fantasy: Isaac Heeney Role
Fantasy Impact: Justin McInerney averaged 68.0pts from 21 games in 2021, he recorded a season high 119pts in Round 23 against Gold Coast.
The increase in usage across half-back will likely provide an opportunity for scoring upside & consistency in 2022, there were signs of a decent points ceiling in 2021.

McInerney may be an option in season long fantasy, that half-back role across pre-season needs to be very secure with an ability to be used at a decent rate in that area of the ground prior to any decision being made.
It’s worth pushing him up quite a few places on your draft boards in single season draft leagues.
