2026 TRADE PERIOD
The 2026 AFL trade period has concluded and betting markets should be well settled for the upcoming summer period which includes pre-season training.
Of course major injury news will be a crucial watch over the next few months.
The only markets currently open are 2027 AFL Premiership and Brownlow Medal, there were several moves throughout the trade period which did impact premiership betting for next season.
Hawthorn remain current premiership favourite at $5.00, the Hawks added Zach Merrett via a trade and Ben King through free agency.
Brisbane did slightly drift out to $6.00 with a few depth players leaving the club along with other highly rated clubs making key moves throughout the trade period.
Geelong did move from $13.00 into $9.00 after signing Toby Greene and completing trades for Rowan Marshall and Jordan Ridley.
The Western Bulldogs moved from $15.00 into $10.00 with Zak Butters joining the club via free agency, the Bulldogs also added depth to their list and will have Sam Darcy back from injury next season.
The AFL fixture will be released in the upcoming period, season Over/Under win markets will soon follow.
The AFL Draft will be held in November which should see Rising Star markets open soon after, 2026 winner Jagga Smith was $7.00 at the start of pre-season last November
There should be a few significant edges available for AFL Futures over the next few weeks.
