DFS Strat: Round 2 Cats v Hawks

Liam Shiels (MB $8,300, DS $13,150)

With a very tight squeeze on your salary cap due to the quality of Mids tier 2 players need to be highly considered for Monday, Shiels averaged 26.5 Disposals against Geelong last year for an average of 98.5pts which included a 75pt return in Round 4 when the Hawks were defeated by 86pts.

Shiels averaged 90.9pts against Top 6 teams last year & 98.5pts from Hawthorn winning games, since the start of the 2017 H&A season he has averaged 115.1pts when recording 25 Disposals or more in a game.

It is recommended throwing Shiels in to a few line-ups.

🎯 DFS Projections & Targets: Round 2 Cats v Hawks

Mark Blicavs (MB $7,800, DS $11,800)

Be very careful with rostering Blicavs against Hawthorn on Monday, he has been trialled over the pre-season as a back-up defender and with the absence of Harry Taylor his usage around the ball is likely to be significantly diminished.

Blicavs played on Tom Lynch (GC) in JLT game 1 and delivered a poor return of 29pts, his previous roles have included Ruck & Midfield but with the return of Ablett Geelong have set him up for different roles. Blicavs was used in defence last week when Taylor went down with a game ending injury.

A definite pass for Monday.
