❄ Tom Mitchell (MB $18,700, DS $12,100)
The time may have arrived to fade Tom Mitchell with a relatively tough match-up on Sunday against Melbourne, after averaging 147.0pts from his first 3 games of the year the salary on both platforms may be too restrictive.
Melbourne have conceded an average of 326.5 Disposals from their last 2 games (Rank 1), the Demons are Ranked No.1 in fantasy points conceded this season (1469.7). Earlier this week this answer was given: “We’ll put some time into Tom Mitchell as he’s in fantastic form” Simon Goodwin – Melbourne coach
There are just many factors working against Mitchell to justify spending an inordinate amount of money rostering him on Sunday with other genuine options available, it is very possible he does not equal or exceed salary expectations therefore he is a fade this week.
📈 Tom Rockliff (DS $9,000, DS $11,600)
The once mighty Rockliff has fallen dramatically at his new home, he is averaging a miserly 54.3pts this year which includes a season high 78pts last week against Brisbane. Rockliff had an interrupted pre-season in which he did not play in a practice match, he has had 3 weeks to adapt to his new team and could be in a possible bounce back spot on Sunday.
Rockliff has spent some time forward this year and his scores have been negatively impacted, the suspension of Powell-Pepper will likely result in more midfield time against Essendon.
Rocky has a huge ceiling in optimal conditions, he has had time to adjust to his new team & is likely to see an increase in midfield time. Most will be too scared to roster Rockliff, it is recommended sprinkling him across a few teams on the Sunday slate.
