💰 Tom Mitchell (DS $18,970) MID
Mitchell has been a fantasy monster again this year, he averaged 129.2pts during the H&A season and was serviceable last week putting up 119pts in a losing Final. Mitchell scored 100pts or more in 78.3% of games & 120pts or more in 60.9% of games so far this year, he has averaged 139.7pts from his last 10 games.
A hard tag is looming for Mitchell tonight which could limit his output, with the non-selection of Jaeger O’Meara due to injury the pressure increases on him to put up elite numbers. Mitchell was restricted to 24 Disposals in Round 4 this year against Melbourne, he was tagged by Nathan Jones.
Game flow could play an important part in the Mitchell scoring tonight, it is unlikely in a tight game that he would smash his salary expectation. It is always a scary proposition fading the No.1 AFL Fantasy player, tonight that decision might be justified.
📈 Clayton Oliver (DS $14,690) MID
Oliver put up some outstanding numbers in just his 3rd AFL season, he averaged 109.5pts during the H&A season and posted 99pts against Geelong last week in a winning Final. Oliver scored 100pts or more in 60.9% of games & 120pts or more in 34.8% of games this season, he recorded a career high 154pts in Round 20 against Gold Coast.
Oliver recorded his first career 100pt game against Hawthorn this year in Round 4, in that game he recorded 28 Disposals & 11 Tackles but also a season high 4 Free Kicks AGA. Oliver has a fantasy game that is independent of team success, he has averaged 106.2pts from winning games & 113.3pts from losing games this year.
Melbourne are 17.5 favourites against Hawthorn tonight, many will running with a Demon stack which could be the correct structure. Oliver is a high ceiling type of player, it is recommended fitting him as one of your top line MIDS.
