🤔 Jack Redden (DS $15,560) MID
Redden has been an emerging midfielder at the Eagles this season, he averaged 96.2pts during the H&A season & 141pts from 1 Final. After a slow start to the year averaging 66.8pts from his opening 5 games Redden has averaged 106.9pts from his last 18 games, he has scored 100pts or more in 30.4% of games with a strong conversion rate of 26.1% scoring 120pts or more this year.
West Coast are not a high Disposal team averaging 357.1 per game during the H&A season, the Eagles recorded 338 Disposals against Collingwood in Week 1 Finals.
When West Coast have recorded 370 Disposals in a game this season Redden has averaged 108.2pts, when they have recorded fewer than 370 Disposals he has averaged 94.6pts.
Redden has also failed to score 100pts in any West Coast loss this season (West Coast Loss: Ave 88.2pts)
Redden has a decent ceiling and is worth running through a West Coast win teams on Saturday, in Melbourne win line-ups he is probably worth fading.
📉 Clayton Oliver (DS $15,540) MID
Clayton Oliver has had an outstanding season as a premium weapon for the Demons, he averaged 109.5pts during the H&A season but only 93.5pts from 2 Finals. Oliver scored 100pts or more in 58.3% of games & 120pts or more in 33.3% of games this season, he has averaged 90.0pts from his last 4 games played.
Oliver has averaged 25.5 Disposals in his last 2 games against West Coast, that equates to an average of 79.5pts over the same period. Oliver was heavily tagged by Mark Hutchings in Round 22 this year at Optus Stadium, it is expected he will attract attention again on Saturday.
It won’t be ground breaking news that Oliver may not reach his salary expectation and could well fall way short of it, his ownership % shouldn’t be too high. Oliver is likely a risky selection, although if you are multi-entering he might be worthwhile including in a small percentage of teams.
