Josh Kennedy is not expected to resume full training with the Eagles until late January after undergoing shoulder surgery, at this point it is anticipated Kennedy will be available for Round 1 next season.
Kennedy was a late starter to the 2018 season due to off-season ankle surgery, he also suffered a small fracture to his shin which forced him to miss several games before returning to play Finals for the Eagles.
Kennedy kicked 43 Goals at an average of 3.1 per games in 2018, it was his lowest Goal average since the 2014 season. Kennedy also recorded his lowest Mark average since 2012, he has played in 67.3% of possible games since the beginning of the 2017 season.
AFL FANTASY TAKE: After enduring a poor run with injuries in 2017/18 Kennedy will be a late start to full pre-season training, Kennedy will have a price tag that does warrant a little interest but generally most fantasy coaches will avoid key Forwards due to volatile scoring.
At age 31 starting the 2019 season Kennedy may be on the decline, his recent injury history does not fill you with confidence. Let other fantasy coaches take the risk.
