AFL Fantasy: 2019 Top 5 Players Under $200K

One of the critical elements in season long fantasy is identifying players that will generate large amounts of cash in order to complete upgrades to premium scoring players, the 2019 crop of players under $200K looks healthy with additional players to be added via the pre-season Supplemental Selection Period (SSP) which closes on March 15.

1. BRETT BEWLEY

Fremantle | MID| $170K

Bewley looks set to make an immediate impact with Fremantle, he should settle into a role around half-back providing significant drive out of defence on his left foot.

Bewley averaged 26 Disposals for Williamstown in the VFL in 2018, he should be able to generate plenty of cash for your team early in the season.

“Brett physically has adapted.. He’s a high-end runner & a really mature athlete” Ross Lyon on Brett Bewley in December.

2. SHANE MCADAM

Adelaide | FWD | $170K

This could be a great situation for McAdam playing in what should be a high scoring Adelaide team, he should find his fair share of ball & be able to hit the scoreboard once he debuts.

McAdam kicked 31 Goals from 17 games for Sturt in the SANFL last season, the cash generation might not be as strong as others but given his Forward status there could be a heavy reliance on his games/points early in the season.

3. MICHAEL GIBBONS

Carlton | MID | $170K

Gibbons hasn’t formerly joined the Blues as yet but it appears to be a formality, he will likely start as a MID only and start at a price of $170K once added to the AFL Fantasy platform.

A Round 1 debut is also on the cards for Gibbons, he averaged 28.6 disposals for Williamstown in the VFL in 2018.

4. MARTY HORE

Melbourne | DEF | $170K

Hore is in a battle to break his way into a strong Melbourne line-up, his ability to read the play and take intercept marks will be an asset for the Demons.

Hore averaged 21.5 Disposals for Collingwood VFL since the beginning of the 2017 season, he recorded a season high 30 Disposals in 2018.

I’m looking to play a role in the backline.. I might be a bit ahead of the other draftees as I’m a bit older, so hopefully I can have a big pre-season & push for Round 1 – Marty Hore, Melbourne in late November.

5. CHARLIE CONSTABLE

Geelong | MID | $170K
