AFL Fantasy Game Notes: Round 9

Those fantasy coaches that don’t own Lachie Whitfield could be scrambling this week to find suitable trade options to bring him in, with the Bye period just around the corner some coaches may opt for a short term change in Bye-structure in order to bring him in.

Injury news will be key again this week with Patrick Dangerfield (65% Owned) a possibility to miss Round 10 with an Ankle injury, Zac Williams (32% Owned) will also be an issue with a hamstring injury.

The fear of missing out (FOMO) will play hard on the minds of fantasy coaches this week.

Mitch Duncan was at it again scoring 125pts against the Bulldogs, he has averaged 129.3pts from his last 4 games.

Patrick Dangerfield left the game late with an Ankle injury, he re-injured the same Ankle from 2 weeks ago. The Cats may look to rest Danger in Round 10 against Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.

The Bulldogs were mostly shut down at GMHBA Stadium by the Cats, Jack Macrae had a team high 109pts.

Essendon v Fremantle (MRVL)

Zach Merrett was at his best recording a game high 35 Disposals for 125pts.

Nat Fyfe had little influence for the Dockers recording 24 Disposals for 74pts, Connor Blakely failed to impress from a fantasy perspective with 71pts from his first game of the season.

Nth Melbourne v Sydney (BA)

Isaac Heeney (97pts) found his way into the middle of the ground as a result of the Josh Kennedy late out, Heeney did go off for a concussion test which did spoil what should have been a decent score.

Port Adelaide v Gold Coast (AO)

Wet conditions made it difficult for scoring with Travis Boak recording a team high 36 Disposals for 110pts, Tom Rockliff scored 67pts in the second half for 109pts.

Brayden Fiorini was everywhere for the Suns, he recorded 38 Disposals on his way to 144pts.
