Summary: GWS cruised to an easy 94pt win in perfect conditions at Blacktown International Sportspark, the Giants recorded 427 Disposals & 64 Inside 50s well ahead of the Swans 308 Disposals & 45 Inside 50s.

Tim Taranto injured his shoulder in the opening minutes of the game, he did not return & is likely to miss the start of the H&A season.

Heath Shaw was able to take advantage of the scoreboard late, he recorded 25 Disposals & 10 Marks for an equal team high 110pts.

Jacob Hopper was the leader in the midfield, he scored 107pts at a rate of 1.41 PPM with a team high 65.4% of CBA’s.

Jackson Hately was excellent through his midfield role, he added pace to the game at times finishing with a solid 85pts.

Tom Green started very slowly but worked his was into the game in the second half, he added a couple of nice Goals to finish with 85pts.

Lachie Ash was able to fit in nicely in defence, he scored 63pts at a rate of 0.88 PPM.

Sam Jacobs (62pts) was solid early, he received a knock to the head in a ruck contest midway through the game and went off for a concussion test.

Jye Caldwell was quiet recording 36pts, he scored at a rate of 0.61 PPM (CBA: 61.5%, Rank 2).

Equally as quiet was Xavier O’Halloran (21pts), he scored at a rate of 0.34 PPM.

AFL Fantasy Pre-Season: Eagles v Bombers Recap

Jordan Dawson was solid in defence, he recorded 19 Disposals, 5 Marks & 7 Tackles for a team high 97pts.

Luke Parker was very good early through his midfield role, he scored 81pts at a rate of 1.08 PPM.

Oliver Florent was utilised through the midfield, he was utilised at 73.1% of team CBA’s.

Sam Naismith was energetic in his return to footy, he recorded 10 Disposals & 28 Hit Outs.

Justin McInerney was one of the stand outs for the Swans, he played mostly out on a wing linking play to the forward half.

Will Gould was mostly quiet but did a couple of nice things that do suggest he won’t struggle at AFL level.

Dylan Stephens was relatively quiet, he finished with 41pts scoring at a rate of 0.56 PPM.

Michael Knoll played the second half, he struggled to have any impact on the game.
