“The scans have indicated that Rory has done significant damage to his posterolateral corner in his knee.”

“There is a lot of other damage in there as well, including a strain to the ACL. The good news is that there is no tear to the ACL.”

“We were concerned around some meniscus damage as well but…the surgeon’s opinion is that there is no surgery required.”

“Rory will be in the brace for about six weeks and then we will reassess from there.” Dockers GM of Football Peter Bell.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Lobb averaged 56.8pts from 17 games in 2020, he scored a season high 92pts in Round 1 against Essendon.

The medium to long term injury opens up an opportunity for a tall in the Fremantle team, Josh Treacy will be on the radar along with Lloyd Meek as a ruck option.

Sean Darcy is currently questionable for Round 1 with a knee injury, Meek looks like a potential starter in Round 1 following a decent AAMI Community Series game on Sunday.
