“In the last minutes of the game, Marcus landed and had his knee twisted,”

“Scans have cleared him of any serious structural damage, but he does have some symptoms related to the injury.

“We’ll work with Marcus through the back end of this week to determine his availability.” Bulldogs Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell.

Bontempelli has averaged 27.1 Disposals, 4.1 Marks & 4.9 Tackles from 24 games in 2021.

FANTASY IMPACT: Marcus Bontempelli has averaged 96.5pts from two finals this season, he averaged 107.9pts in the 2021 H&A season. He has scored 100pts or more in 66.7% of games this season & 120pts or more in 33.3% of games.

The current knee concern may limit his ability to play a full game at an elite level through the midfield this week against Port Adelaide, playing more of a forward role may be an option.

Bontempelli is a high centre bounce usage player, any reduction this week would likely play out favourably for Adam Treloar & Josh Dunkley. Jack Macrae & Tom Liberatore would retain their high centre bounce numbers.
