Sydney Update: Dylan Stephens

Dylan Stephens has set his goals for the 2022 season, he was limited to just 6 games in 2021.

Last week he reflected on the 2021 season and provided personal insight ahead of the 2022 season.

“For me it wasn’t really the year I hoped for,”

“I didn’t play as much senior footy as I would have liked.”

“For me it is to break into the senior side and hold my spot,”

“I’ve spent a fair bit of time on the wing but I’m looking to put a bit more size on and be able to play both inside and outside at AFL level.” Stephens said.

He averaged 9.7 Disposals, 3.3 Marks & 1.3 Tackles from 6 games in 2021.

Fantasy Impact: Dylan Stephens averaged 36.8pts from 6 games in 2021, he scored a season high 63pts in Round 7 against Geelong.

He was the starting sub in Round 5.

The scoring output hasn’t been strong for Stephens as yet in the AFL, he has been limited to just 14 games since being selected at pick 5 in the 2019 AFL Draft.

Stephens is priced awkwardly to start the year in season long fantasy, there are likely better options that can provide a better ROI at a lower salary.

He’s a late round speculative option in single season draft leagues.
