Adelaide Update: Josh Rachele

Josh Rachele is on track for an early season debut, selected at pick 6 in the 2021 AFL Draft by Adelaide the small forward type is continuing to impress through pre-season. 

Reilly O’Brien was more than favourable this week on the first year player recruited from Murray Bushrangers.

“He’s been pretty electric up forward, pretty mercurial talent.”

“He played a bit of match-sim last week, probably kicked about 4 or 5 goals nipping around up there.”

Rachele averaged 18.5 Disposals, 6.3 Marks, 3.8 Tackles & 2.8 Goals from 4 games in the NAB League in 2021.

Fantasy Impact: Josh Rachele remains a live chance to debut in Round 1, having impressed to date over pre-season a small forward type role is on the cards. 

His scoring output could be volatile in his forward role early on, but having the ability to hit the scoreboard should keep the scores ticking over.

Rachele is a consideration for season long fantasy at Round 1 if named, he should exceed value based on his starting salary. 

He’s a late speculative option in single season draft leagues, but keep in mind he is unlikely to see much time through the midfield.
