Port Adelaide Update: Josh Sinn

Josh Sinn is clearly focused on playing early in 2022.

The well spoken 19 year old understands that games won’t be gifted into such a strong team but he has his eyes on a debut in Round 1.

He played mostly across half-back in his junior career but Power senior coach Ken Hinkley has trialled him through a wing and midfield role.

Sinn provided an update on SportsdaySA this week on his role and 2022 goals.

“I think I played all pretty much the majority of my juniors through half-back and also through the midfield as well,”

AFL News on Twitter @aflratings “But I guess as I’ve come to the club been training a bit more in
the midfield and a bit more on the wing.”

“Ken has been really good with I guess giving me a lot of different looks out there on the field, it’s certainly exciting.”

“Definitely I think I’ve set myself a lot of personal goals whether that be getting stronger in the gym, bit more volume out on the track,”

GAME DAY LIVE on Twitter @aflratings_Live “Certainly I guess a Round 1
debut that’s the ultimate goal at the end of the day and if that doesn’t happen,
it doesn’t happen.”

“I will just keep getting better each week,”

“I truly do understand that coming into such a successful club like Port Adelaide it is quite hard to crack into the team.”

“If I just keep putting my best foot forward day in day out I’m sure I’ll get closer and closer each day.” he said.

AFL FANTASY NEWS

Fantasy Impact: Josh Sinn remains a live chance to debut early in the season, he has impressed in his first pre-season at Port Adelaide.

He averaged 17.6 Disposals, 3.4 Marks & 2.0 Tackles from 5 games in the NAB League in 2021.

A wing/midfield type role would be optimal in his first year at AFL level, scoring should be optimal from a fantasy perspective.

Sinn is a strong consideration when he is named for his debut in season long fantasy, he should quite easily exceed value.

He’s a late round speculative option in single season draft leagues.
