Neil Erasmus was “close” to playing on Friday night.
This according to Fremantle senior coach Justin Longmuir post game.
However it was decided the best avenue was to continue his development and play at a lower level on the weekend.
Longmuir provided insight into the decision not to play Erasmus in the practice games against West Coast.

“We’ve got some good depth through our midfield,”
“He’s a young player in his first year that hasn’t played against men really apart from this pre-season.”
“Just thought it was best for his development and his progression to play at Peel tomorrow (Saturday).” he said.

Longmuir confirmed David Mundy “will” be available for the AAMI Community Series, Nat Fyfe “should play some footy next week”.
