Fremantle Update: Ruck Situation

There is further clarity on the ruck structure at Fremantle this Season.

Sean Darcy will carry the majority of the ruck work all year pending fitness and availability, Rory Lobb looks to have secured the back up in-game option.

Senior coach Justin Longmuir provided insight into the ruck position this week.

“Sean in means Lloyd (Meek) out at this stage,”

“We’re still working on the balance of our team.”

“I thought Rory Lobb competed really well in the ruck as a second ruck last week, he competed really well as a forward as well.”

“He‘ll take the second ruck option, it’s probably the way we’d like to do it in-season given that Sean does 80% of the ruck when he’s there.” he said.

Longmuir also confirmed Nat Fyfe is expected to be available for Round 1.
