ADELAIDE
- Player manager Colin Young (via Trade Radio) is confident a Billy Frampton trade to Collingwood is likely to get done in the “first week” of the trade period.
- Michelangelo Rucci has provided an update via SENSA on the contract offer for Izak Rankine. The contract is set to be structured for a heavy payment next season with Rucci saying “the word is $1.5 million in the first year”.
Rucci added the early contract payments for Rankine would allow for “salary cap space for a big get next year”.
BRISBANE
- Ely Smith, Mitch Cox & Deividas Uosis will not be offered playing contracts for the 2023 AFL season.

- Blake Acres is set to continue a role on a wing at Carlton according to player manager Colin Young via Trade Radio. Young saying the role “just fits him at Carlton”.
- Riley Beveridge is reporting via AFL.com.au the deal for Blake Acres could include a third round selection.
COLLINGWOOD
- Mitch Cleary is reporting Oliver Henry is still weighing up an offer from Geelong. Henry is out of contract and kicked 21 goals for the Magpies in 2022. He was selected at pick 17 in the 2020 AFL Draft.
- Michael Gleeson is reporting via The Age that Jordan De Goey has not accepted contract terms. De Goey is currently out of contract and a restricted free agent.
- Michael Gleeson is reporting via 3AW trades for Bobby Hill and Billy Frampton won’t each be for “a significant pick”.
- Jon Ralph is reporting via Fox Footy Brayden Fiorini will be traded to Collingwood after meeting with the club last week.

FREMANTLE
- Player manager Colin Young provided an update on Griffin Logue via Trade Radio saying “basically at the end of the day Clarko got him over the line” on selecting Nth Melbourne.
- Fremantle were “fully aware” of a Rory Lobb trade request to a Melbourne club as early as last year according to player manager Colin Young via Trade Radio. Young adding that he will “just work with Fremantle and try and get it done”. Lobb is seeking a trade to the Bulldogs.
- Player manager Colin Young provided an update on Liam Henry via Trade Radio saying he “should be at Fremantle next year”.

GEELONG
- Player manager Colin Young (via Trade Radio) thinks Sam Menegola will remain at the club.
- Mitch Cleary is reporting via 7 News Melbourne that Jack Bowes is “strongly linked” to joining Geelong during the trade period.
GOLD COAST
- Jack Bowes is set to depart Gold Coast due to salary cap considerations, Sam Edmund reporting via SEN that Geelong are favourite to land Bowes which could include pick 7 from the Suns.
GWS GIANTS
- Mitch Cleary is reporting Tanner Bruhn remains a Geelong target during the trade period. Bruhn started the year as medical sub and played a further 16 games in 2022. He was selected at pick 12 in the 2020 AFL Draft.
- GWS GM of Football Jason McCartney said via Trade Radio “obviously it’s disappointing” that Tanner Bruhn will potentially leave the club after being selected in the 2020 AFL Draft. McCartney adding “it looks like it’s leaning that way with Geelong”.
- Bobby Hill “will make his way to Collingwood” according to GWS GM of Football Jason McCartney via Trade Radio. McCartney confirmed the deal is likely to be completed early in the trade period.
- GWS GM of Football Jason McCartney said via Trade Radio that the Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper trades to Richmond will “take a little bit of work with one still in contract (Hopper)”.
- Brodie Grundy is not on the radar for GWS with GM of Football Jason McCartney saying via Trade Radio “that’s certainly one that won’t be happening” with Grundy seeking to stay in Melbourne. McCartney also adding “nothing really confirmed” on bringing in another ruck option from another club.
- Player manager Colin Young via Trade Radio has provided an update on a Bobby Hill trade to Collingwood saying that he believes a future second round pick “is being talked about”.
HAWTHORN
- Mitch Cleary reported in late August Tom Mitchell is set to depart the Hawks for Collingwood. Mitchell had seen a reduced amount of centre bounce usage this season.
- Sam Edmund is reporting today via SEN Tom Mitchell is close to joining Collingwood. Mitchell has one-year left on his current Hawthorn contract.

- Ryan Daniels reported in early September via 96FM Perth West Coast are unlikely to feature in a Luke Jackson trade from Melbourne.
WESTERN BULLDOGS
- Sam Edmund is reporting via Trade Radio that Lachie Hunter is “no certainty”to be at the Bulldogs next year with a possible fresh start at another club. Hunter is currently contracted until the end of 2024.
- Mitch Cleary is reporting Jason Johannisen has signed a two-year contract extension at the Bulldogs.
