Setterfield was selected at pick 5 in the 2016 AFL Draft by the Giants, he joined Carlton at the end of 2018.

He averaged 17.8 disposals, 4.3 marks & 2.6 tackles.

He will add depth to the Essendon midfield in 2023.

There is upside scoring potential for Setterfield in 2023 if he can consolidate a place in the midfield rotation, he is clearly a watch throughout pre-season on exact role and opportunity potential
He’s a mid-late round option in standard draft leagues, if his role appears to be secure in the middle of the ground it will be worth moving him up on projected draft boards.
