2023 AFL Draft: Day 1

There were a total of 29 selections in the first round of the 2023 AFL Draft.

Harley Reid was selected at pick 1 by West Coast as expected.

Gold Coast landed four first-round academy prospects including Jed Walter at pick 3. 

Adelaide moved up the draft order following a trade with the Giants, the Crows used that selection to take Daniel Curtin.

Carlton entered the draft with the last selection on Monday night by taking Ashton Moir while the reigning premiers Collingwood grabbed Harry DeMattia at pick 25.
