AFLRATINGS NEWS: Rory Laird has provided clarity on his role for the 2024 AFL season at Adelaide. Â
He is set to play another strong role as an inside midfielder this season.
Laird (via SEN) said he’s been working on breaking out of congestion late in the 2023 season.
He added that another focus and strength has been working inside the contest to distribute by hand to outside players.

Laird also provided an update and change in his role to more of an outside game when Matt Crouch was inserted into the team late in the 2023 AFL season. Â
During that period he averaged 30.4 disposals across 5 games to finish the H&A season.Â
Laird averaged 29.0 disposals, 3.0 marks and 8.0 tackles from 22 games in 2023.
