AFLRATINGS NEWS: Riley Thilthorpe underwent an assessment for a knee concern on Saturday.
He left the ground in Q4 following a marking contest and did not return.
Adelaide initially ruled Thilthorpe out of Round 1 on Sunday with scans revealing damage to the meniscus in his left knee.

Thilthorpe is expected to miss at least 12 weeks following surgery this week (via Emma Henderson).
“It’s obviously very disappointing for Riley and the team, he’s had a fantastic pre-season and had put in a lot of hard work to put himself in a strong position for the year ahead,”
“But now his focus shifts to his rehabilitation and Riley is very diligent when it comes to his training and preparation which will hold him in good stead.” Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess.
