AFLRATINGS NEWS: There has been an update on the role for Jordan Dawson this season.
In 2024 Dawson was used in multiple roles under senior coach Matthew Nicks, with the recently acquired talent via the trade period and draft he is expected to play mostly through the midfield in 2025.

Speaking for the first time this year with the media on Thursday Dawson confirmed he’ll play “predominantly” through the midfield this season.
Dawson was used in a number of roles last season due to the unavailability of several players while at times it was to disrupt opposition attention.Â

He also stated that his ability to play multiple roles provides flexibility for the team and will adjust if required throughout the 2025 season.Â
Dawson averaged 24.5 disposals, 5.0 marks and 6.1 tackles from 22 games in 2024.
