Adelaide confirmed an ankle issue throughout the game.

Laird has undergone further assessment to determine the severity of the injury.

He confirmed on Monday he has been diagnosed with a low-grade syndesmosis injury (via SEN).

Laird added he is expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

“While Lairdy will miss some footy, there is some sense of relief in that it could have been much worse,”

“We expect him to be running again later this week and following that, we’ll be able to put a more definitive timeline on his return.”

“We’ll take a conservative approach in his rehabilitation.” Adelaide GM of High Performance Ian McKeown.

Adelaide will likely provide updates during his rehabilitation period.
