Injury Update: Brayden Maynard

AFLRATINGS NEWS: Collingwood defender Brayden Maynard was assessed for a knee concern on Thursday night against Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. 

Maynard came from the ground late in Q4 and was immediately ruled out of the game.

Collingwood confirmed a knee issue throughout the game.

Maynard has undergone further assessment to determine the severity of the injury, senior coach Craig McRae confirmed on Tuesday that Maynard will undergo surgery. 

Maynard had scans which cleared him of any structural damage and he will undergo a minor procedure to his pes anserinus (via Collingwood on Tuesday).



He is expected to miss approximately 3-4 weeks. 

Collingwood will likely provide updates during his rehabilitation period.

Collingwood next play Geelong on Thursday night July 30 at the MCG.
