AFLRATINGS NEWS: Richmond midfielder Sam Cumming was assessed for an ankle concern on Sunday against West Coast at the MCG.
Cumming came from the ground in Q3 and returned to the game in Q4, he was managed out of the game late.

Richmond confirmed on Tuesday Cumming has been sidelined with a syndesmosis injury.
Cumming will now undergo scheduled shoulder surgery earlier than expected following his ankle injury.

He’ll return to pre-season training in the coming months following a significant recovery period.
