St Kilda Intra-Club

RSEA Park

Initially there were 3 periods set to be played but the Saints decided to add another period, Oscar Clavarino was assisted from the ground late in the game due to a lower leg/ankle concern while Jack Newnes was icing his calf which finished his day early.

In the first 2 periods the Black team was mostly filled with preferred St Kilda players & the Green team mostly filled with 2nd tier or VFL affiliate Sandringham players. The Black team completely dominated the first 2 periods through general play and a decision was made for a more even spread of players in the final 2 periods between both teams.

The game notes will cover the majority of first 2 periods, there were a few key players unavailable or had prior AFLX commitments of Friday Night.

Player Notes (Not all players covered)

Shane Savage
Played HB role, was able to switch play with Dylan Roberton several times.

Seb Ross
Attended a high number of centre bounces, was a standout against inferior opposition.

Luke Dunstan
Rolled his ankle early in the game but continued to play without an issue, attended a high number of centre bounces, was solid.

Hunter Clark
Attended a high number of centre bounces, was very impressive in the first string midfield group (Ross, Dunstan, Clark).

Game Notes: Collingwood v Melbourne

Jarryn Geary
Similar role to last season, part of the defensive group pushing up the ground where possible.

Dylan Roberton
Looked fit and ready, played a half back sweeping role similar to Shane Savage with both linking up at stages during the game. Savage & Roberton were at times in a dual set-up behind the ball (last line of defence) when the opposition team was pressed into their forward line. Decent game.

Dean Kent
Played Half Forward mostly, impacted a few contests.

Josh Battle
Played in defence, was solid, good hands.

Jack Sinclair
Was busy, hit the scoreboard.

Fantasy News Today: 22 February, 2019

Nick Hind
Played a back pocket type role at times, had an impact.

Lewis Pierce/Rowan Marshall
Pierce was the preferred Ruck of choice for the Black team in the first 2 periods.
