Injury Update: Stephen Hill

Fremantle midfielder Stephen Hill is still a week away from returning to full training according to coach Justin Longmuir today.

Hill injured his quad early in March, he subsequently was ruled out for the original early part of the 2020 H&A season.

“Stephen is probably a week away from joining full training. That’s a real positive we can take away at this time” Fremantle coach Justin Langmuir.

The Dockers will likely take a conservative approach with Hill prior to his return.

Hill averaged 11.7 Disposals, 1.3 Marks & 1.7 Tackles from 3 games in 2019, he has played in 50.7% of games since the beginning of the 2017 H&A season.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Good news for those fantasy coaches eyeing off Hill as a trade target at some stage, however his inability to play regular footy over the last 3 years makes him a riskier type option.

Hill may be used in a Wing/Half-Back type of role when he eventually returns to the Fremantle team.

Pending a clear run with fitness Hill may be an option in season long fantasy, his under priced salary & DEF/FWD DPP status also enhances his value.
