“We will take an extremely cautious approach to his rehabilitation with a view on his long-term career.” Kangaroos GM of Football Brady Rawlings.
The Kangaroos have not yet put a time frame on a return to training for Comben.
“We’re confident that Charlie’s resilient character and meticulous approach to training will put him in the best position to return to full fitness.” Rawlings added.
Comben is yet to debut for the Kangaroos, he was selected at Pick 31 in the 2019 AFL Draft.

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Comben is a 200cm tall Ruck/Forward type with excellent hands in marking contests, he averaged 8.7 Disposals, 3.7 Marks & 16 Hit Outs in the 2019 U18 Championships.
The Kangaroos will be patient with Comben after sustaining a broken leg, he should be a big part of their long term list strategy.

Comben is likely a pass in AFL Fantasy classic to begin the season with, although his DPP flexibility does provide a non-scoring angle for Ruck cover from another forward/ruck player with a longer term view to having him debut at some stage this season.
Comben is a pass in 10 team standard draft leagues.
