Injury Update: Nakia Cockatoo

Nakia Cockatoo is questionable for Round 1, he has been dealing with a hamstring injury. 

Cockatoo has been restricted to just 34 games over his career, he was drafted by Geelong in 2014.

The former Cat moved to the Lions in the off-season, Jarryd Lyons provided an update on the injury status for Cockatoo via RSN on Tuesday.

“I think he had a small hamstring injury a couple of weeks ago”

“He hasn’t played the last couple of weeks, I don’t know if we’ll see him in Round 1 but he won’t be too far away” Lyons said.

Cockatoo last played in 2018 for Geelong.

The latest injury for Cockatoo raises concerns about his medium to long term viability in fantasy this season, coaches & players have stated that he has impressed in his first pre-season at the Lions.
