Surgery was considered the best course of action for Jones, he is expected to miss at least 4 weeks.

Port Adelaide are likely to provide an update over the upcoming period.

Lachie Jones has averaged 53.0pts from 2 games this season, he has averaged 17.0 Disposals & 4.0 Marks over the same period.

Dan Houston was moved into the midfield in order to provide Jones with an opportunity, he will likely return to defence however he was subbed out of the game last week with a shoulder concern which has since been cleared of any damage but he is still questionable for Round 6.

If Houston does return to defence, expect Tom Rockliff and/or Sam Powell-Pepper could be included in team selection.

Miles Bergman should be in a decent spot over the upcoming period with Port Adelaide injuries, hopefully he can see a decent run in the team. Trent McKenzie also looms as an inclusion.

Jones hasn’t seen a significant price increase in AFL Fantasy classic, 4 weeks is a long hold which comes with no guarantee it will be exactly that time length to come straight back into the team.

If you have the opportunity to move Jones out without too much disruption to trades then that is most likely the best option, if you have decent bench cover Jones could be used in loophole situations which can give you more time to assess the Jones injury situation further or even target a decent trade option in the future.
