Sheldrick is a strong contested inside midfielder, he works well from inside to outside the contest.
Sydney Swans National Recruiting Manager Simon Dalrymple praised Sheldrick for what he was able to accomplish in his draft year.
“He is a real power athlete, who is very competitive,”
“He had an interrupted preseason and then improved markedly as the year went on, and he just kept getting better. He had an outstanding grand final in the Colts and then was best on ground for WA in the last nationals game.” Dalrymple said.

Sheldrick averaged 25.8 Disposals, 3.2 Marks & 4.1 Tackles from 9 games in the WAFL Colts in 2021.
Fantasy Impact: Angus Sheldrick will add some grunt to the Sydney midfield, he is a strong bodied inside type that should thrive in any contest.
He’s an excellent clearance type mid & is also sharp minded around contests.
The short term fantasy prospects could be encouraging for Sheldrick, the Swans did lose a couple of mids in the recent off-season trade/free agency period so there are spots up for grabs in 2022.
The long term fantasy prospects should be very healthy, as an inside mid his proximity to the ball should keep the fantasy scores ticking over at a decent rate.
Sheldrick is a consideration in season long fantasy at Round 1 if can secure a place in the best 22 at Sydney, there are opportunities available in his primary role so his pre-season is a keen watch on his development.
He’s a late round speculative pick in single season draft leagues, he’s a priority in dynasty leagues with an expected payoff off in year 2-4 of his career.
