Adelaide continue to progress slowly with Wayne Milera, with the little football played since 2019 he’s on the road to recovery.
Adelaide senior coach Matthew Nicks said the club would not take any risk with Milera who is coming off a left knee injury, but he continues to work hard & will be re-introduced back into change of direction training in the upcoming period.

Nicks provided the update via SENSA on Monday.
“He’s worked right throughout the break,”
“It’s a really tough one for Junior because he’s had 2 years out of footy, it’s one where we aren’t taking any risks & he’s not taking any risks”
“To his credit he’s hanging in there, he’s working hard & now he’s back into drills.”
“No contact at this point, but he’ll start getting a lot more footy & change of direction into his game.”
“We’ll continue to work with that without taking too much risk.”
“Were very mindful of what sort of (playing) target we put on Junior.” Nicks said.
Milera averaged 18.2 Disposals, 5.4 Marks & 2.9 Tackles from 17 games in 2019, he played just 2 games in 2020.
