Visentini understands his early path in the AFL will require development, he has set about learning as much as possible in his first pre-season at Port Adelaide.

“As with a lot of the taller boys I know it’ll take a bit for me to develop so they just want me to compete in contest stuff and in every drill work hard to improve.”

“I’m really focusing on marking and getting my timing right.”

I’m just trying to improve as much as possible and learn as much as possible because we’re coming into a new structure and there are things we’ve never experienced before so just trying to soak it all up.” Visentini said post-draft.

2022 AFL Fantasy: Hugh Jackson

Visentini averaged 10.3 Disposals, 2.8 Marks, 2.5 Tackles & 8.5 Hit Outs from 6 games in the NAB League in 2021.

Fantasy Impact: Dante Visentini will add to the ruck depth at Port Adelaide, he has a high leap at ruck contests along with good speed for a tall.

He’s a strong mark & has good ball handling skills, he has a strong ability to compete adding to his good game awareness.

The short term fantasy prospects for Visentini are likely limited, he’s lightly framed & needs to develop physically early on in his AFL career.

The long term prospects are noteworthy, if he can fully develop he has the skill set to be a dominant ruck at AFL level which should provide a strong scoring output.

Visentini isn’t likely to see multiple opportunities for season long fantasy in 2022, it’s worth monitoring his progress at the lower level for rate of development & scoring output.

He’s a pass in single season draft leagues, throw him in the mix for an early selection just beyond the priority options in dynasty leagues. There is plenty of fantasy potential possible for Visentini.
