Elliot Yeo is progressing well this pre-season, he returned from chronic groin issues in Round 11 last season.
He completed a solid off-season, in recent days he has been in an off-loading training stage of pre-season.
Luke Shuey provided an update this week on the progress of Yeo.
“He’s like a lot of us, getting on a little bit (in age) we need to be managed at this time of the year.”
“He had a really good off-season.”

“Slow build through January, then I think we’re into games mid-Feb.”
“He’ll be there, he’ll be right.”
“His groins have been fine, been really good.” Shuey said.
Yeo averaged 22.0 Disposals, 2.3 Marks & 5.3 Tackles from 12 games in 2021.

Fantasy Impact: Elliot Yeo averaged 83.0pts from 12 games in 2021, he averaged 98.7pts from his final 3 games of the season.
It appears the groin issues are well behind Yeo, West Coast were patient with him and were not ready to play him in 2021 until he was absolutely ready to go.
There should be a decent level of optimism he can complete a full season without the groin issues becoming a problem, but understandably many would be concerned based on his previous history.

Yeo is a consideration for season long fantasy at Round 1 if he completes an uninterrupted pre-season, his scoring output is strong enough to exceed value based on his starting salary.
It is worth pushing him up on your draft boards well ahead of expected ADP in single season draft leagues.
