Luke Shuey is set to undergo further assessment, he injured his leg at training on Wednesday.

Early reports from Ryan Daniels suggested Shuey left the track in match simulation, West Coast later confirming he would be sent for scans.

The Eagles are likely to provide further updates in the upcoming period.

Fantasy Impact: Luke Shuey averaged 87.6pts from 7 games in 2021, he scored a season high 127pts in Round 3 against Port Adelaide.

The latest injury set back in the middle of pre-season is not ideal, especially coming off back to back injury riddled years.

Shuey was used at 68.9% of centre bounces in games he played in last season, if he were to miss any game time this year that is quite a decent opportunity available.

Shuey is a risky option for season long fantasy, there are other options available that are more durable.

He drops way down in single season draft leagues as a result of the latest injury news, he may be an option for back-up mid bench when healthy due to his ability to hit ceiling games.
