“He compliments our midfielders really well, like Nathan (Fyfe) he leads and organises us through the midfield really well.”

”So we’ll continue to play him in that same role.”

“A lot of these midfielders these days to get their minutes up and make sure we keep the energy up through the middle of the ground, they need a secondary role on the ground.”

“We’ll work through what that looks like for Dave, there’s an opportunity for him to play a little bit of time of the wing.”

“He played a little bit of time down forward last year and hit the scoreboard as well, so we’ll continue to explore those as secondary options.” Longmuir said.

Fantasy Impact: David Mundy averaged 89.0pts from 22 games in 2021, he recorded a season high 122pts in Round 5 against Carlton.

He had a usage rate of 65.2% across the season.

Mundy will be used through the midfield again in 2022 which will include a decent amount of centre bounces, Andrew Brayshaw, Nat Fyfe, Caleb Serong would be considered at this stage to be in the top 4 alongside Mundy in expected centre bounces across the season.

Mundy is likely a pass in season long fantasy at his age, the consistent ceiling games don’t seem to be available.

He’s a depth bench option for single season draft leagues, his durability is excellent.
