Reuben Ginbey Role

AFLRATINGS NEWS: West Coast senior coach Andrew McQualter has provided an update on the role for Reuben Ginbey in 2025.

The Eagles returned to pre-season training on Monday with 1st-4th year players hitting the track, Ginbey won the team time-trial.

McQualter said they will settle Ginbey into a half-back role to start the 2025 season, he added that Ginbey will still evolve as a player but emphasised the importance for him to remain in defence. 

Ginbey averaged 15.7 disposals, 2.7 marks and 3.6 tackles from 23 games in 2024 (AFL Fantasy Ave: 60.1).
