AFLRATINGS NEWS: Richmond midfielder Sam Cumming came from the ground on Friday with a shoulder concern.
He was assessed in the first quarter against the Demons and withdrawn from the game shortly after.

Cumming underwent further assessment to determine the severity of the injury, scans revealed a subluxation of his right shoulder.
He is expected to be sidelined for 4 weeks.
“Sam had a shoulder injury in his draft year that was re-aggravated in Friday night’s game,”
“We will take him out of contact drills for the next four weeks and get him to continue with his strength work across that time.”

“Sam will have follow up scans as we go along and we will of course continually assess his shoulder stability, and we will decide our next steps from there which may include surgery.” Richmond High Performance Manager Ben Serpell.
The Tigers play Carlton in their season opener on Thursday March 12 at the MCG.
Richmond will likely provide updates during his rehabilitation period.
Cumming was selected at pick 7 in the 2025 AFL Draft by the Tigers.
